Frequently Asked Questions

We believe in building a connected network of care for families. Learn more about our initiatives and how we make a difference in the community.

What free resources or programs do you provide to families?

We offer a number of free, community-supported programs designed to support families when they need it most. Our Baby Essentials Program provides everyday necessities such as diapers, wipes, formula, bottles, and toiletries. Our Postpartum Support Program focuses on supporting mothers after birth, offering items like breast pads, pumps, and recovery essentials. We also run our Backpack Program, supporting children from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8 with school supplies. Throughout the year, we offer Seasonal Programs, including our Easter Basket Program and Christmas Stocking initiatives. What makes each program special is that they are community-driven, thoughtfully prepared, and provided free of charge, with care.

Who benefits most from these free resources?

Our programs are here for families who may be going through a difficult or uncertain time and need a little extra support. We most often support parents with babies and young children, including new and expecting mothers navigating the postpartum period, as well as families who may be experiencing financial strain or unexpected challenges. Our goal is to meet families with compassion, without judgment, and to provide support in a way that feels respectful and approachable.

How can a family get started or find out more about your free resources?

The easiest way for families to get started is by visiting our website, where they can fill out a form to request essentials, support, or make an inquiry. For any additional questions, support needs, or if someone is looking to donate, they can also connect with us directly by email at familycareconiagara@gmail.com or through our social media. Our goal is to make reaching out feel easy, supportive, and free of any added stress.

How are your programs funded?

As a fully donation-based effort, our programs are made possible through the generosity of our community. We also raise funds throughout the year to continue supporting families in need.
